Test Method

1. Test Overview
Objective: Verify the rodent bite resistance of flexible metal armored optical fibers (stainless steel tape).Test Duration: 14 days (long-term stability verification).

2. Test Conditions
Experimental Animals: 15 clean-grade SD rats (220-250g, 5 females + 10 males), housed in SPF-grade environment (License No.: SYXK (沪) 2009-0082), supplied by Fudan University (License No.: SCXK (沪) 2009-0019).

Test Samples: 3 types of stainless steel armored optical fibers (0.6mm/0.9mm/1.4mm diameter, 2 rolls each).
Equipment: Vernier caliper, balance, and standard lab supplies.

3. Test Procedure
15 rats were divided into 3 groups (5 rats/group), with 1 sample type placed in each group cage.
Continuous observation for 14 days: Recorded rats’ diet, activity, and sample biting status daily.
