24 Core TPU Outdoor Armored Tactical Fiber Cable

In high-density temporary deployments, tactical communications, emergency rescue networks and harsh outdoor environments, conventional fiber cables may be exposed to physical impact, rodent damage, weather changes and repeated bending during deployment and retrieval. Standard outdoor cables are not always designed for frequent handling, dragging, crushing pressure or repeated reel use.
The 24 Core TPU Outdoor Armored Tactical Fiber Cable is designed for these demanding field conditions. It combines 24 optical fibers, flexible helical stainless-steel armor and a tough Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) outer jacket to provide mechanical protection while maintaining flexibility. With crush resistance of ≥ 3500 N and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +80°C, this cable is suitable for temporary field operations, broadcast production, industrial sites and rugged outdoor fiber links.

Key Features

Heavy-Duty TPU Outer Sheath:
Provides strong resistance to abrasion, UV exposure and repeated dragging during outdoor deployment.
Stainless-Steel Armor Protection:
Flexible helical SUS304 stainless-steel armor helps protect the fibers against crushing, impact and rodent damage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What type of armored fiber cable is suitable for repeated outdoor deployment in temporary events and live broadcasting?

For high-density outdoor deployments that require frequent retrieval, a 24 Core TPU Armored Tactical Fiber Cable is a suitable option. Compared with standard PVC or PE outdoor cables, TPU-jacketed armored tactical cable is better suited for repeated handling, dragging, spooling and field deployment.
This construction is useful because:
TPU Outer Jacket:
TPU provides abrasion resistance, UV resistance and flexibility during repeated outdoor deployment.
Helical Stainless-Steel Armor:
The flexible stainless-steel armor helps protect the optical fibers against crushing, impact and rodent damage.
Compact 24-Core Design:
The cable provides 24 optical fibers in a compact 5.0 mm structure, making it suitable for high-density temporary fiber links and reel-based deployment.

Q2: Can this 24-core armored cable be used in cold outdoor environments down to -40°C?

Yes. This 24 Core OS2 TPU Tactical Armored Fiber Optic Cable is designed for outdoor environments with an operating temperature range from -40°C to +80°C. The TPU jacket and stainless-steel armor help improve durability in cold, outdoor and mechanically demanding conditions.
Key features include:
Rodent and Crush Resistance:
The helical stainless-steel armor provides a physical protection layer against rodent damage and crushing pressure.
Wide Temperature Range:
The cable is designed for outdoor operation from -40°C to +80°C.
Flexible Field Handling:
The cable supports short-term tensile load up to 400 N and can be supplied on a suitable reel for temporary deployment and retrieval.

Q3: Can HHD supply custom 24-fiber OM3/OM4 tactical cable assemblies with waterproof connectors?
